About WaheGuru
Building spiritual sanctuaries and strengthening Sikh communities worldwide
Honoring Waheguru
WaheGuru is a California-based non-profit organization dedicated to improving gurdwara facilities throughout the world and promoting Sikh ideals globally.
In Sikhism, Waheguru is the term used to refer to God as described in the Guru Granth Sahib. It is the most common term to refer to the Divine in modern Sikhism.
Our vision includes building a $1.1 billion gurdwara as a pinnacle of Sikhism, inspired by the Sikh Gurdwara San Jose — the largest gurdwara in the United States.

Langar: Serving Humanity
Our primary mission is channeling donations to partner gurdwaras worldwide. Gurdwaras serve as centers of community outreach, advancing neighborhoods in profound ways.
Every gurdwara features Langar — a community kitchen serving free meals to all, regardless of religion, caste, gender, economic status, or ethnicity. Everyone sits together on the floor, embodying equality.
People of all faiths are welcomed. We provide rumāls (head coverings) so everyone can participate in prayers while respecting the Sikh Rehat Maryada — the Sikh code of conduct.
Gurdwara: Home of the Guru
A Gurdwara (meaning "place of guru" or "home of guru") is a place of assembly and worship in Sikhism where people from all faiths and religions are welcomed.
When you visit our gurdwaras, expect the highest standards of cleanliness. Sikhs are dedicated people who strictly adhere to Sikh ideals, shown through their commitment to the Five Ks and accepting nature.
You'll be greeted by the warmest, most welcoming people — no questions asked about why you're there. We ensure a peaceful, pleasant experience that inspires you to return and grow spiritually.
